Wikileaks founder Julian Assange is officially suggested for the Nobel Peace Prize. The Norwegian parliamentary deputy, Snorre Valen, nominated the revelation website for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Reason for the nomination is that “WikiLeaks is one of this century's most important contributors to freedom of speech and transparency.” The most recent example was the revelation about the personal enrichment of the former Tunisian president Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali. Because of that a 25-year-long dictatorship draws to an end.
