December 2006 – Wikileaks goes online:
Julian Assange opened the wikileaks.org Website. At that time, most of the people thought erroneously that this online portal is a subsidiary of the online encyclopedia Wikipedia. The first document was a report about a Somalian rebel leader who ordered the homicide of official of the somalian government. Whether this document was authentic is still not known.
August 2007 – First revelation:
A survey occupied, that the Kenyan’s president’s Daniel arap Moi family enrich themselves with public funds.
November 2007 – Handbooks of Guantanamo:
Secret handbooks of the US military about the detention camp Guantanamo were published by Wikileaks. Controversial is an instruction, just to allow the access for the Red Cross for particular prisoners.
