Wikileaks Timeline II

February 2008 – Banking information published:

Wikileaks published customer data of the bank group Julius Bär on its website. Allegedly are there evidence about fiscial evasion and money laundering on the Cayman Islands. Thereafter Julian Bär sued Wikileaks to effect an occasional cutoff. After protests of civil liberties campaigner, the bank group diverted.

September 2008 – Sarah Palin’s Emails:

Sarah Palin’s, republican candidate for the vice-presidency, private Email-account was hacked and the correspondences were sent to Wikileaks. The Emails were published during the campaign.
